The National EMS Education Standards - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) have entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) to develop the National EMS Education Standards. The National EMS Education Standards will replace the current US DOT National Standard Curricula (NSC). Click on the picture to the left for additional information.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration EMS Division- This national web site has information on the national scope of practice document. The mission of the NHTSA Office of EMS is to reduce death and disability by providing leadership and coordination to the EMS community in assessing, planning, developing, and promoting comprehensive, evidence-based emergency medical services and 9-1-1 systems. Office of Public Health Preparedness Training Advisory Committee - This State agency has a goal to" Identify preparedness-training needs by compiling needs assessment data and evaluating lessons learned from tabletops and drills.
